unsolicited Marketing emails

I’ve had an interesting couple of weeks. Lots of people, marketing/sales professionals or scammers, no idea? reaching out with a wealth of information on how to update the amazon website to promote my books and get them out in the public eye with different categories and blurbs that explain how the books have a lesson for the children. There were some really good suggestions to get me hooked that’s for sure. Funny thing is you answer and there’s no stopping the constant emails.

It’s hard to tell who is real and who isn’t. These days they put a question to ai and get a fabulous description. When I google my book series the result is far better than what i could write. What i have done is amended some of the book descriptions and added the website address at the bottom. As I said some really good suggestions.

If you’ve read my blogs you will know My books evolved from me sitting on the front veranda in Ravenshoe on the atherton tablelands far north Queensland, Australia. We drive up after work and arrive late in the afternoon.

It was like magic, the lorikeets knew we were there and the noise began. Until the seeds were put into the trays the loudness didn’t stop. Rainbow lorikeets are well known for their loud boisterous habits. in the morning if i wasn’t up at dawn the lorikeets would start again. they only came in the morning and afternoon, no where to be seen in the heat of the day. I can’t imagine what they did when we weren’t there for 2 week as we went to ravenshoe fortnightly.

I have done no formal training in writing and have never thought myself as an author. My love for nature and just enjoying the show is how the books happened. everyone asks what I am writing next, that’s funny to me as i’m not the sort of person who will be sitting at a desk thinking about it. One day something will pop into my head and off i’ll go.

When it comes to the marketing, that’s not my idea of fun, learning how to publish was enough. Publishing takes time, especially when you have 10 books to update, make that 20 when you include the digital version. it was a learning curve which i didn’t know i could do. you are never too old!

The colouring book is coming along nicely and should be complete before September, fingers crossed.

Happy Sunday everyone! Thank you for your support and emails.
